Best Products You’ll Find at Trader Joe’s

Wether it’s your first or hundredth time walking into a Trader Joe’s, it never looses it’s excitement. With their consistent line of new products and colorful marketing, it’s hard not to get lost in a web of options. What we love most about Trader Joe’s products is the value! Although TJs isn’t known for their produce, there are a tremendous amount of options to be found for the plant-based eater.

This list of TJ basics are tried and tested for best value and it will sustain up to two weeks of cooking and snacks. If you’re prepping for more than yourself, just multiply this list by how ever many peeps you’re preparing for. Anything we’ve forgotten? Trader Joe’s Basics Shopping List

Refrigerated Aisle

  • 1 Silver Log plain goat cheese log
  • String cheese (a fun and delicious late night snack)
  • TJs all-natural steaks
  • 1 TJ wild-caught whole smoked salmon
  • 1 container Vegan pesto
  • 1 bag pre-peeled garlic
  • 1 dozen eggs


  • 1 6-pack of avocados
  • 1 pack organic cherry tomoatoes
  • 1 12 oz. container of blueberries
  • Pre-sliced organic apples
  • 2 bags TJ organic Herb Mix salad
  • 1 bag TJ organic Arugula
  • 1 bunch bananas
  • 1 bag of lemons
  • 1 bag pre-peeled brussel sprouts
  • 1 container fresh rosemary

Baking Aisles

  • 1 jar organic almond butter
  • 1 bag of Almond Flour
  • 1 bag organic ground flax seeds
  • 1 tin of baking powder
  • 1 container of vanilla bean extract
  • 1 container Manuka honey
  • 1 grinder of Himalayan salt
  • 1 grinder of black pepper
  • 1 container of red pepper flakes
  • 1 bottle of avocado oil

Dry Goods & Spreads

  • 1 package of seed crackers (great with avocado for an easy, fridge-free breakfast)
  • 3 cans organic diced tomatoes
  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can green peppers
  • 1 jar or mustard garlic aioli
  • 2 bags of organic seeded tortilla chips
  • 1 jar black bean dip
  • 1 jar of salsa (Your choosing, but I’m a big fan of the mango salsa. I love the cowboy caviar too!)


  • 100% pure cranberry juice
  • Green Fin organic red table wine
  • Charles Shaw rosé
  • Bitburger lager (a light, German pilsner for a warm day)


  • Dark-chocolate covered caramels
  • Vegan green tea mochi
  • English fudge (careful, these are addictive!)
